CGP INNOVATIONS
COUPLIX® made of two CERAFIL® wires with ceramic insulation for very high temperatures.
These outstanding advantages – miniature size, significantly reduced weight, and resistance to extreme temperatures – mean that CERAFIL® is currently used in many highly technical applications and research projects in areas such as the aerospace, military, and nuclear industries.
Features
• Thermal
- Continuous operating temperature: -90°C to +500°C;
- +800°C for a minimum of 240 h;
- Maximum temperature +1000°C;
- At temperatures >315°C, after prolonged use, CERAFIL® may experience nickel migration, which may cause its maximum temperature to decrease. resistivity will increase.
• Chemical
Chemical resistance: ★★★★★
(neutral to common and organic solvents)
Moisture resistance: ★✩✩✩✩
(Moisture-sensitive product - hydrophilic)
• Electrical
Test voltage (1 min): 150 AC / 212 V DC
• Radiation resistance ★★★★★
Withstands long-term exposure to neutrons and gamma rays without changing the mechanical resistance of the insulation.
• Resistance to Fire
Completely non-flammable at temperatures above 1000°C. CERAFIL® may melt but will not ignite.
Color Code: Gray
Application:
Thermocouple cables with CERAFIL® insulation for measuring temperature in closed environments exposed to extreme heat.
USE PRECAUTIONS
Ceramics are very different from traditional insulation. It is a rigid, hydrophilic material that requires special care during use. CERAFIL® should be stored in a dry place and handled with care, avoiding mechanical damage (folding, stretching, etc.). It should be removed with fine-grit sandpaper.
