What are hydrostatic probes?

They're pressure sensors used for precise level measurements in closed and open water reservoirs. They work based on a hydrostatic method  - that is, identifying hydrostatic pressure created by the mass of a given column height of any liquid. The probe is placed underwater, vertically, directly in the liquid. The sensor is placed on the probe's cable, and the stabilizing sinker helps to keep the vertical position.

Hydrostatic probes - applications

  • managing water reservoirs, canals, water culverts, and watercourses;
  • drilled wells;
  • chemical and oil industry, shipbuilding, the food industry;
  • liquid pumping, water treatment stations, retention reservoirs, and rainwater containers;
  • measuring levels of rivers and lakes.
