Multi-range Current Transformers with 4..20mA Output, MAC…/MAT… Series

Current transformers with built-in transducers are innovative products that measure alternating current and provide a 4..20mA output, a standard for PLC controllers or other monitoring systems. A single enclosure contains the transformer, transducer, and a trimmer allowing adjustment of one of the available primary current ranges for the given model.

Advantages of this solution include:

  • significant cost reduction,
  • very simple wiring,
  • increased overall device reliability.

Thus, transformers with transducers are measurement devices designed for precise monitoring of primary current in power systems and measurement systems. Thanks to the use of a core and primary and secondary windings, they allow measurement of high current levels with high accuracy, generating a DC or constant voltage output adapted to the standards of controllers and automation systems. They are used in industrial installations, low-voltage transformers, automation systems, and wherever accurate primary current measurement is required, e.g., up to 3000 A in accordance with standards and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

A.C. CURRENT TRANSDUCERS WITH INTEGRATED C.T.

These transducers, with integrated current transformer, are suitable to measure the rms value of currents with sinusoidal undistorted waveforms or, for the TRMS types only, also with distorted waveforms; in this case the additional error is 0.5% for crest factor < 3 and 1% for crest factor < 7. The outputs are load independent d.c. current or voltage, propor-tional to the input variable.
