A.D. Viganò started their operation in the industry in 1950 in Inverigo, and worked as a manufacturer of “Explosion Proof” electrical materials. Later on, they also began the production of iron plants and special machines, and eventually acquired the Viganò Electrical Company. Today, the company is an expert in design, manufacture and sales of explosion proof electrical apparatus and accessories, for use in areas with danger of explosion because of e.g. presence of explosive gas or dust. 

All A.D. products are classified by the Ex D protection degree - for both surface (II group) applications and underground/mine usage (I group) - including classification such as safety materials for increased hazard Ex e - Ex de, for intrinsic safety Ex i, for protection from dust ignition Ex tb, for pressurized enclosures Ex p, and waterproof materials. 

A.D. assortment consists of, among others, products like rigid and flexible conduits, fixing and pipe accessories, armored cables, lighting fixtures, explosion proof panels and customized panels, junction boxes, push-buttons, power sockets and plugs, measuring instruments’ housings, limit switches, acoustic signal devices. 

All products are manufactured according to the European Standards, such as the IECEx and EAC-TrCu regulations that are implemented in locations of highly explosive atmospheres with gas or inflammable dusts danger, such as: methane, firedamp, hydrocarbons, solvents, paints and resins, alcohol, fragrances and perfumes, distillates, plastic materials and rubbers. They can occur as products of the manufacturing process of agricultural products, metals, chemical products, wood etc.
