GF Conductive Sealants and Gap Fillers

Conductive sealants and gap fillers are similar to commercial sealing products with the difference that they contain electrically conductive fillers. As a result, these fillers provide them with high electrical conductivity. They are designed for use on joints, connections, and other small gaps in sheet metal enclosures. Conductive sealants and gap fillers, designed to cure at room temperature, form a highly conductive and flexible elastomeric seal that has excellent adhesion to most commonly used materials. Conductive gaskets and gap fillers can also eliminate the need for mechanical fasteners, depending on application requirements. Once fully cured, conductive gaskets help prevent water ingress and enhance EMI shielding of component connections. These materials have excellent resistance to high temperatures and long-term aging. The fillers used in these materials provide a reliable low-impedance connection between metal surfaces. Different fillers can help ensure good galvanic compatibility with various alloys in wet or humid environments. Silicone-free versions of our gap fillers and sealants are also available—GF-NCP series.
