EBG was established in 1977 in Kirchbach in Styria (state in the southeast of Austria) and specialized in the development and production of passive electronic components. Today EBG is a leading producer of layered power resistors and high-voltage resistors, which are characterized by low self induction. EBG owns numerous sales offices around the world, in locations like the USA, South America, China, all around Europe, in Japan, South Korea, and Izrael. In 2010 EBG joined MIBA group. Company’s portfolio includes non-inductive thick film high-voltage, high-power and precision resistors as well as custom-designed resistors. They cooperate with numerous companies and producers, such as ABB, Actom, Danfoss, Eaton, Mitsubishi Electric, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, Vacon, and many others. EBG resistors can be found in many different power electronics applications: frequency converters (e.g. in wind power plants), drives of large electric engines, high-voltage and medium-voltage grids, drives for trains and electric vehicles, medical technology (x-ray, MRI, CT, PET scan machines). EBG has several different certificates, depending on the location of their operative office. They are certified with such documents as: ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO 14001 : 2015, RoHS, IATF 16949 : 2016, ROHS Metal Film and ROHS Thick Film Resistors. They also comply with many safety and legal policies, such as Conflict Minerals [&] Cobalt Sourcing Policy.
