HVR International was founded in 1991 as Morganite Resistors and later Allen-Bradley Electronics, and is based in Jarrow, Tyne & Wear, UK. Originally, the company pioneered the development of a resistor to replace a metallic product in EHV Switchgear.

They specialize in Ceramic Carbon Resistors, Passive Components, Resistors, Wirewound & Tubular Power Resistors.

Their assortment includes coatings, linear disc resistors, SR surge resistors, resistor assemblies, rod and tube resistors, H.V. earthing sticks, stud mounted resistors, fusible resistors, and plug pill resistors.

All high voltage, non inductive, ceramic carbon linear resistors are manufactured in ISO 9001-2000 standards - from a mixture of clays, alumina and carbon.

The company also conducts product testing that is undertaken in their laboratories.

HVR products have many different application options, such as electrical transmission, lasers, traction, welding, ac/dc drives, induction heating, inverters, soft start, pulsed power, current limiting, dummy loads, capacitor discharge, pulse forming networks, and dynamic braking.

The company received ISO 9001-2000 for Quality Policy approved by the Ceramic Industry Certification Scheme Ltd.
