General information

Sensors and camera systems allow the analysis of color, shape, 1D and 2D code, OCR (text), size, and other parameters of a registered object. Vision sensors are composed of, among others, image analyzing systems, lamp operator, optical elements, and proper input and output systems.

They’re most often used in the print industry (multicolor objects), automotive e.g. for cars’ cockpit control, applications responsible for machines controlling packaging positioning, pharmaceutical industry for filling blister packs, electronics, and cosmetics e.g. for control of the label and packaging positioning. They are also used in the machine industry for surface control after a finished mechanical processing, and also used in the food industry e.g. bottling lines.

Vision systems can quickly analyze pictures, which allows to:

• Read bar codes and 2D codes,
• Recognize various details,
• Check shapes and sizes of the details,
• Control detail’s compliance with the model,
• Localize and orient the details,
• Check the montage and presence of all elements,
• Create and make slots,
• Measure angles, dimensions of slots etc.
• Check the filling level of blister packs,
• Check the presence/location of labels,
• read OCR text,
