The company was established in 2008 as a part of GMC-I Group. Their headquarters are located in Skelmersdale (Lancashire) in North West England.

GMC stands for G = Gossen, M = Metrawatt and C = Camille Bauer. The group includes departments from Germany, Switzerland, USA, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Czech Republic, and France.

Despite being a relatively young company, GMS-I PROSIS has a strong technical background with 30 years experience in sensing technologies.

GMC-I PROSYS specializes in design, development and manufacture of current probes, clamp meters, handheld instruments and systems for current and voltage measurement, as well as measurement and processing of electrical parameters.

Their assortment consists of AC/DC current probes and true RMS clamp meters, Rogowski coils, rope CT’s, flexible AC current probes eg. for DIN rail mounting, and AC/DC split core current transducers.

Some of the key application options include: automotive - current probes for non-intrusive current measurement with analogue output signals, digital and wireless signal processing (RF, Bluetooth, USB) solutions, test and calibration systems; energy management - AC flexible current probes, Rogowski technology for multimeters or oscilloscopes, electrical maintenance, repair and machine installation, analysis of current distribution in mains networks, of harmonics, power measurements, measurement of peak loads in mains and UPS; test and measurement - AC and AC/DC current probes and clamp meters, Hall-Effect technologies, UPS and battery charging systems.

GMC-I PROSYS owns several different certificates, such as ISO 9001 for quality management. They also operate in compliance with the REACH regulation - to identify the intrinsic properties of chemical substances in products; and ROHS statement - directive that decreases the allowed limit of hazardous substances in the electronic and electric devices (EEE) sold in European Union.
