The NX interlocking lock is a mechanical interlocking key lock designed for locking electrical devices such as disconnects, main switches or fuses. The NX model allows you to control the rotation of the switch or the movement of the disconnect switch lever shaft.
The NX interlocking lock is made of stainless steel, which provides high corrosion resistance and allows use in harsh industrial conditions and outdoor and corrosive environments.
The system consists of an NX interlocking lock mounted on the machine and an NX access control lock for entry into the hazardous area. During normal machine operation (motor powered), the operating key A remains locked in the NX locking lock, and the door to the danger zone is closed and locked.
To access the danger zone:
1. the operator disconnects the power supply to the machine, allowing the Operational Key A to be removed.
2. key A is then locked in the NX access control lock, which releases the latch and allows the door to be opened.
3. As long as the door is open, Operation Key A remains locked - preventing the machine from restarting.
4. To restart the machine, the operator follows the same steps in reverse order.
