Water and Air Heat Sinks from DACPOL
DACPOL offers a wide range of heat sinks. Our products come from reputable suppliers, ensuring long-lasting performance of your devices. A heat sink is used in places where it is necessary to dissipate energy in order to prevent damage to components. Thanks to our many years of experience, if you have any doubts or questions, we encourage you to contact our technical and sales department, which will help you find the right solution to your problem.
What are heat sinks?
A heat sink is a component or a set of components designed to dissipate heat from the system to which it is attached. Water heat sinks are metal or alloy bodies with good thermal conductivity, with an extended surface on the outside, most often in the form of fins or rods to maximize heat transfer. Air heat sinks are most often made of aluminum or copper and are an essential part of electronic systems.
Heat sink – how to improve effectiveness?
To improve heat conduction, a heat sink is most often pressed against the surface that generates heat. It is also worth considering the use of thermal interface materials, such as thermal pastes, thermal adhesives, and thermal tapes. Additionally, forced air circulation using a fan can be beneficial. Under the highest loads, it may be necessary to spread the heat using a liquid, such as liquid cooling or a heat pipe.
Where are heat sinks used?
Heat sinks are used in electronic systems. They are essential in computers, for example with processors, in amplifiers, and in cooling devices. They are also implemented in mechanical devices where friction occurs and large amounts of heat are generated, such as engines.
In our catalog you can find:
- air heat sink,
- water heat sink,
- enclosures and heat sink accessories,
- thermal interface materials (adhesives, tapes, thermal pastes),
- cooling fluids.
A properly selected heat sink extends the lifespan of the component.
