Due to their versatility, maintenance-free Sonnenschein gel batteries are used in telecommunications, energy, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. These batteries are also used in remote monitoring and measurement systems as well as in mobile systems such as: wheelchairs, small traction vehicles, and hobby applications.

Sonnenschein Gel Battery - Technology

These batteries are completely maintenance-free, sealed VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries made using gel technology (electrolyte trapped in a silica gel structure). This solution ensures high reliability and safety of operation even under adverse environmental conditions.

Sonnenschein Dryfit Gel Batteries have wide applications due to combining good buffer performance with good cyclic performance characteristics. The large range of available batteries allows selecting the optimal battery size for the requirements of very different applications.

Sonnenschein Dryfit batteries are a universal and reliable energy source, completely maintenance-free (no need to add water) throughout their service life. Battery capacities range from 1.2Ah to 200Ah, and the designed service life is 7 years (up to 80% of nominal capacity).

Maintenance-free Sonnenschein batteries are characterized by low self-discharge: after 2 years of storage (at 20°C) no recharge is needed. They feature short charging time and safe deep discharge according to DIN 43539 T5 standard.

Battery Transport

Sonnenschein Dryfit Gel Batteries can be safely transported by air, rail, or road. (according to IATA, DGR clause A 67)

Lead-acid batteries are a valuable resource. The recycling rate of used batteries exceeds 90%.
