ALVL low voltage limiters are advanced surge protection devices designed to protect structural elements in traction networks powered by direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). Their main purpose is to protect people from dangerous touch voltage that may occur as a result of a lightning strike or a catenary failure.
Application
ALVL arresters are designed for:
