Surge Arresters
The Surge Arresters category includes a wide range of devices designed to protect electrical, electronic, and industrial automation installations from the effects of lightning and switching overvoltages. These products protect equipment and infrastructure from damage caused by sudden voltage surges, extending system life and increasing device operational safety.
The offering is divided into six main product groups, making it easier to select the right solution for a specific type of network or application.
1. AC Surge Arresters
Designed to protect AC-powered installations. They effectively protect electrical devices in single-phase and three-phase networks from overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or network interference. Used in building installations, switchboards, control panels, and automation systems, among other applications.
2. DC Surge Arresters
Offered for the protection of DC systems – particularly in photovoltaic (PV) installations, DC power supplies, and battery systems. They protect PV modules, inverters, and cabling against induced and direct surges, ensuring system continuity even in harsh weather conditions.
3. ALVL Low Voltage Arresters
Specialized arresters designed to protect low-voltage signals, measurement and control lines. They protect electronic systems, transducers, PLCs, and measurement modules from damage due to switching or electrostatic surges.
4. PG Low Voltage Arresters
Devices protecting signal lines, telecommunications lines, and data transmission systems. Designed to protect sensitive communication circuits, including: Ethernet, RS485, RS232, and sensor systems in industrial networks and building automation.
5. Lightning arresters for AC networks up to 1000 V
Used as the first line of protection against the direct effects of lightning strikes. Designed for high-voltage AC networks (up to 1000 V), power equipment, and transmission systems where very high durability parameters are required.
6. Measuring devices
The offer is complemented by devices for monitoring and testing the status of surge protection systems. They allow for monitoring voltage levels, limiter effectiveness, and real-time diagnostics.
