Electromechanical limit switches and built-in switches are used to detect objects through direct mechanical contact. Their use is an extremely cost-effective and simple solution. The robust and reliable limit switches in the many series listed below are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, sealing grades, housing materials, drive types, switch configurations, and electrical parameters. The GLS family was designed to provide a complete range of limit switches compliant with CENELEC standards. It is suitable for most industrial applications. The basic GLS series includes a plug-in version, optional LED indicators, and compliance with the EN50041 standard. The EN50041 standard defines the mounting hole pattern (30x60mm) and switching parameters for fixed lever, pusher, and roller lever actuators. This means that the switches presented are interchangeable with switches from other manufacturers that meet the requirements of the EN50041 standard. Honeywell offers significantly more types of heads and connection options than the EN50041 standard requires. Versions with gold-plated contacts ensure reliable connections for very low-power circuits (e.g., feeding signals directly to a PLC). The switch with 2NO + 2NC contacts offers versatile connections. A wide range of miniature switches offers a choice of plastic (double-insulated), metal, and triple-gland versions. They all have identical mounting hole spacing (20-22 mm), as defined by the EN50047 standard, as well as the switching parameters for the versions with a fixed lever, a pusher, and a roller pusher.
Features:
• EN50041 and EN50047
• Designed in accordance with IEC standards
• Positive opening of Normally Closed contacts
according to IEC 60947-5-1-3
• Robust housing (zinc die-cast)
• IP67 protection rating
• 3 types of cable glands
• Voltage 12-250V AC/DC
• Galvanically isolated contacts
• Terminals: cable or connector
Advantages:
• Standard assembly and characteristics
• Contacts that weld together will be separated
• Variety of pinouts and housings
• Short replacement time
