We’re offering different copper litz wires with round and square sections. In case when using typical wires is impossible and not effective we recommend using litz wires.
Litz is a wire made of individually twisted copper wires insulated with glaze. It can be used in devices like transformers, inverters and pulse power supplies.
Litz - construction: in silk, nylon and kapton insulation.
During transferring low frequency data (at least several hundreds Hz) occurs a skin effect, which “pulls out” current media from the center of the wire to its surface layer. This effect causes disrupted density of the current* in the axial section. Litz is a wire made of many thin strains insulated with varnish. In the strain with a small axial section a more effective ratio of active section conducting current to the section in which there is no current is achieved. A method to lower skin effect results, we have to decrease the sector of a single action wire through using thin cables - litz.
*The density of a current in the wire’s strain increases from its center to the external edge. In critical cases though the center part of a wire, the current flow can be non-existent. With an increase of frequency, the overload of wires decreases.
