Icel s.r.l. was founded in 1960 and today is one of the leading global suppliers of plastic film capacitors. Icel s.r.l. group includes Vematron s.r.l. - a distributor of electric and electromechanical components, testing and measuring instruments.

The group specializes in manufacturing and designing film capacitors, such as power and custom capacitors intended for use in applications such as ups, inverters/converters, motor control, welding, battery chargers, induction heating, medical sectors, traction and green energy (photovoltaic). They mostly produce polypropylene film capacitors that have very high insulation resistance and dielectric strength, but also great moisture resistance, stability and guarantee long durability. Such capacitors are mostly used in AC applications, switched mode power supplies (SMPS), UPS to lasers for medical engineering, or energy storage and green power systems (wind, solar, etc.) applications.
