Induction heating generator HU 2i

The HU 2i is the successor to the HU 2000+ and replaces it in Himmelwerk's product range.

The HU 2i is a key representative of Himmelwerk's small induction technology – a compact, efficient, and exceptionally versatile generator with a 2 kW output power, which in its basic configuration offers full functionality at a very favorable price-to-performance ratio. The device is designed for processes involving small components, small heated masses, or operations that do not require minimum cycle times. In these applications, the HU 2i delivers excellent results, even when operating in 100% duty cycle mode.

Based on modern transistor technology, the HU 2i can operate at frequencies up to 1 MHz, making it ideal for precise and delicate operations. It is used in applications such as soldering, coating, drying, sealing, and surface treatment. It is perfect for coating foils, soldering spectacle frames, or heat treating threads.

In response to Industry 4.0 requirements, the device can be equipped with a wide range of modern communication interfaces, including Profibus, Profinet, and EtherCAT. Analog integration options, pedal or potentiometer control inputs, an additional water pressure sensor, and an IR-log module for visualizing pyrometer data in intuitive graphs are also available.

The completely redesigned user interface includes a 7-inch touchscreen, user management with customizable profiles, multiple language versions, adjustable brightness, and a dark mode. Operation remains comfortable even with gloves on thanks to the redundant ClickWheel system. The HU 2i also supports two external circuits and offers options such as an emergency input, digital pyrometer control, and an intelligent cooling loop with temperature and pressure sensors.

Even in its basic configuration, the device provides smooth power regulation, pyrometer detection, and an IP31 protection rating, ensuring safe operation in typical industrial conditions. Options for autonomous operating programs and self-optimizing temperature control make the HU 2i fully ready for use in complex production environments.

Additionally, the generator is offered in versions for system integrators and process line manufacturers, facilitating its implementation in OEM solutions.
