PSP */5 kA - Energy Class 1 - surge arresters designed to protect high-voltage distribution networks, transformers, switchgear, and HV distribution cables against atmospheric and switching overvoltages. Protection against atmospheric or switching overvoltages in AC networks and transients. Suitable for protecting transformers, cables, motors, switches, disconnectors, and other high-voltage devices. The functional part of the arresters is a column of varistors sized for the maximum continuous operating voltage Uc. The housing material demonstrates high resistance to the effects of surface currents resulting from charge flow or electric arcs. It has hydrophobic properties and offers excellent resistance to atmospheric influences, pollution, and UV radiation. Cover lids, connection screws, nuts, and terminals are made of stainless steel. The design and technical parameters of the PSP series surge arresters comply with ČSN EN 60099-4 ed. 3: 2018 and IEC 60099‑4: 2014.
