Ex pendant luminaires and floodlights
The right lighting technology for your application
High-pressure discharge lamps are typically used for pendant luminaires and floodlights. They provide high light output and a relatively long service life. Depending on the required light colour, high-pressure metal halide lamps (HP) or high-pressure sodium lamps (HP) are usually installed.
Modern high-power white LED technology offers an exceptionally long service life. What's more, it is resistant to vibration and shock. Thanks to its very high efficiency, it enables intense illumination with lower energy consumption. The compact design and relatively low heat emission allow this technology to be used in small luminaire housings.
Area of application
For this reason, they are the preferred luminaires for use in hard-to-reach places and where replacing lamps is time-consuming and difficult.
Pendant luminaires and floodlights are the ideal solution for lighting areas with high suspension heights.
Conditions requiring a high level of lighting
Explosion-proof luminaires are used in both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas, on land and at sea, in production plants, warehouses, in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for lighting loading areas, ports and fuel depots.
Especially in marine areas, solutions based on LED technology are increasingly being used due to their vibration resistance.
Difficult working conditions
CEAG explosion-proof pendant luminaires and floodlights for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 ensure safe and reliable operation even in difficult conditions, such as:
- very high or low ambient temperatures
- high humidity
- dust
- aggressive or explosive atmospheres
The high IP rating of these luminaires guarantees durability even after a long period of use. The long service life and high reliability of the electrical and mechanical components used make these solutions very economical.
Lamp replacement made easy
We offer an effective solution in situations where on-site lamp replacement is not possible, e.g. at very low temperatures or in the presence of explosive atmospheres.
In the case of CEAG FZD series floodlights, the entire lamp insert can simply be replaced. This speeds up maintenance and reduces service costs.
The luminaire can be quickly ready for use again, even in extreme conditions, at temperatures as low as -40°C. The lamp insert itself can be replaced later, e.g. in a workshop.
Even in extreme temperatures
We have developed appropriate solutions for operation at very low ambient temperatures.
