Hammond company’s history started in 1916 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and was originally known as O.S. Hammond and Son. They started as a manufacturer specialized in making tube radio sets, battery chargers and other related products. The company has been operating for over 100 years and today is a leading supplier of transformers, racks and cabinets as well as enclosures for the electrical and electronic industries.

In 2001 Hammond Transformer Division got separated and created a new independent company - Hammond Power Solutions, Inc. (HPSI). They manufacture custom and catalog transformers and related magnetics.

Currently, after over 100 years of history and experience, Hammond Manufacturing is a global company with customers and suppliers worldwide. They own several offices around the world, including facilities in Canada, USA, UK and Taiwan. 

The company focuses mostly on US markets and international markets, and by continuously extending its connections and network, they managed to become one of the largest suppliers of magnetics to the North American electrical OEM market.

Key products of the Hammond Manufacturing company are electrical and electronic enclosures, racks and cabinets, power bars and electronic (low-voltage) transformers.

Their assortment consists of products and solutions like: small enclosures, outlet strips, transformers, rack mounting solutions. Electrical enclosures include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-metallic, disconnect, modular freestanding enclosures, operator interface enclosures, commercial enclosures, and climate control.

They also deliver open frame racks - server cabinets and power distribution units; PDUs and outlet strips - rack mount, heavy duty, surge suppression; power transformers, low voltage or high voltage tube plates, medical, plug-in isolation, autotransformers, audio transformers, energy limiting transformers; and also classic transformers e.g. Guitar replacement and general amps – from brand like Fender, Marshall, Vox, Ampeg, Orange, Gibson and Yorkville / Traynor.

Hammond additionally owns several important certificates China Compulsory Certification / CCC Mark. They also operate in compliance with RoHS - directive that decreases the allowed limit of hazardous substances in the electronic and electric devices (EEE) sold in European Union; REACH - aimed at identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances; and Conflict Minerals regulation - European Union directive that pledges countries from the union that import tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold to make sure that in the delivery chain there are no products that could be financing an armed conflict.
