Introduction - Industrial Enclosures

Many electrical/electronic devices require adequate mechanical, environmental, and electromagnetic protection. These features include an attractive, aesthetic appearance and ergonomics. The ideal solution is a high-quality enclosure made from aluminum, glass fiber reinforced polyester, ABS, or polycarbonate, depending on the application.

For an electronic device to function properly, it is necessary to analyze and predict the environment in which it will operate. Factors such as temperature, humidity, salinity, and chemical agents are just some of the parameters that should be considered when selecting the right components.

One of the parameters that enclosures must meet is the IP protection rating.
This classification complies with the EN 60529/DIN40050 standard.

Description of the protection rating
