Calectro | UG-5-AFR-24V Duct autonomous smoke detector Uniguard Superflow | SEE IT | -- | 1 | -- | -- | -- | -- |
We offer a wide selection of smoke detectors for industrial and automation applications. One of the popular solutions is the standalone 24V Channel smoke detector with a service alarm Uniguard.
The industrial smoke detector Uniguard Superflow from Calectro was designed to detect smoke in ventilation ducts. The detector has a built-in alarm relay that can be used to control fire dampers, stop fans, or activate optical and acoustic alarms, etc. It also includes a built-in service alarm relay that notifies when maintenance is required before a false alarm occurs.
The smoke detector is an essential device in all homes, apartments, workshops, and facilities where there is a risk of uncontrolled smoke release.
Smoke detector – operation
The smoke detector monitors air quality. When a danger is detected, i.e., when the concentration norms of a given gas are exceeded, the detector signals the threat with a sound.
Smoke detectors should be installed in locations that allow the quickest possible detection of smoke, so it is advisable to mount them on the ceiling, at the highest point of the room. They should not be installed in well-ventilated places or outdoors.
Types of smoke detectors
- Optical smoke detector – a highly sensitive detector that activates immediately upon detecting smoke. Intended for use in enclosed spaces where smoke, dust, or water vapor normally do not occur. It works based on measuring infrared radiation.
- Linear smoke detector – used in large rooms. It works by detecting light absorption by smoke.
- Smoke/carbon monoxide detector – for occupied rooms where people stay continuously.
- Ionization smoke detector – contains electrodes between which there is a continuous ion flow. Smoke disrupts the flow, triggering the detector.
Applications and functions of smoke detectors and fire protection systems:
- fire warning, evacuation information;
- activation of sprinklers, turning off air conditioning, power disconnection,
- notification of rescue services.
Advantages of smoke detectors: short reaction time and additional functions in fire protection systems.
Disadvantages of smoke detectors: false alarms.
