PSPN */10/III surge arresters are designed for indoor use to protect high-voltage distribution networks, transformers, switchgear, and HV distribution cables against atmospheric and switching overvoltages. The functional component of the arresters is a column of varistors sized for the maximum continuous operating voltage UC. The housing material demonstrates high resistance to the effects of surface currents resulting from charge flow or electric arcs. It is hydrophobic and exhibits excellent resistance to atmospheric influences, pollution, and UV radiation. Cover lids, connection screws, nuts, and terminals are made of stainless steel. The design and technical parameters of the PSPN series surge arresters comply with the ČSN EN 60099‑4 ed. 3: 2018 and IEC 60099‑4: 2014 standards.
