We Offer High-Quality Residual Current Relays
Our products are designed for professionals. With many years of sales experience, we provide expert assistance and guidance in selecting the right solutions. All offered products, including residual current relays, are made from the highest quality materials.
Type B Residual Current Relays
The X…DB3 series residual current relays are designed to measure alternating current (AC) leakage currents. With the ability to display the current leakage value, continuous monitoring of insulation condition is possible. This allows early detection of insulation degradation and planning of maintenance, helping to avoid unexpected power interruptions and emergency situations.
X48DSA Series Residual Current Relays
Purpose and Operation
The device is designed to measure leakage or differential currents in installations, which may occur due to damaged wire insulation. The system responds immediately when set limits are exceeded, disconnecting the faulty section from the power supply, thus increasing the safety of the entire electrical installation.
Leakage current causes a difference between the currents in the "supply" and "return" conductors. This current, known as the differential current, can be accurately detected using a toroidal transformer, e.g., Ferranti type.
In case of damaged insulation, the leakage induces voltage in the secondary winding of the transformer. The output voltage is then evaluated by the measurement circuits of the differential relay, allowing indication of leakage level and automatic or manual triggering of alarms.
Main Features and Advantages
- Wide range of current settings and time delays, allowing selective disconnection of only part of the system while keeping the rest operational.
- Three current cut-off ranges and adjustable delay for precise system configuration.
- Continuous monitoring of connection with the toroidal transformer, measured on the windings, with warning messages for abnormal results.
- Choice of manual or automatic reset to adapt the system operation to installation needs.
- Inputs for remote reset, enabling control from a central unit or automation system.
- Accurate detection of differential current, enhancing user safety and protecting equipment from leakage current effects.
The system is designed for continuous monitoring of electrical installations, detecting leakage currents, and protecting against insulation faults. The differential relay with a toroidal transformer allows quick response to abnormalities, ensuring both human safety and reliable system operation.
