Security for your protection

CEAG safety switches can be secured against accidental activation thanks to a built-in locking system that holds up to three padlocks in the OFF position. To prevent tampering, enclosure covers cannot be opened in the locked position without permanent damage.

Full AC-3 switching capacity

All CEAG safety switches offer full motor switching capacity according to utilization category AC-3 and insulation properties according to EN 60947-4-1, with positive break of the main contacts.

Optional versions with an EMERGENCY STOP function are also available, compliant with EN 60204-1.

Additional auxiliary contacts with delayed or early make (optional) provide double safety under extreme switching conditions.

Easy installation

CEAG safety switches are designed for easy installation and convenient access to the terminals. Connections.

Versions in impact-resistant polyamide or glass-fiber reinforced polyester provide IP66 protection for circuit breakers up to 180 A. They can optionally be equipped with plastic or brass clamping flanges. Safety switches for currents up to 630 A are supplied in metal enclosures with the option of being fitted with bolted flanges.

Explosion Group IIB

Safety switches with a current range of 210-630 A are also available in a version for Explosion Group IIB, which meets the requirements of most applications.

Enclosed switches for isolating installations during repairs and maintenance

The GHG 26 (10-160 A) and GHG 981 (25-80 A) circuit breakers have now been approved as compliant with the new IEC 62626-1 standard, Class 1.

The new IEC 62626-1 standard specifies requirements for safety switches (isolating switches) used to disconnect equipment during service and maintenance work. These requirements are more stringent than the IEC 60947-3 standard, which did not previously regulate this area.

The standard divides products into two classes:

  • Class 0 - for general use
  • Class 1 - for severe and difficult operating conditions

All products installed in ATEX/IECEx hazardous areas must meet Class 1 requirements.

Requirements for this class include: minimum mechanical strength, appropriate IP protection rating, tamper resistance, resistance to temperature, vibration, and corrosion, switching capacity, and locking capability.
