NX key exchange unit

The NX control panel is designed to allow the release of slave keys by locking one or more master keys.
The use of this type of device is typical in cases where there are multiple access points ( more doors) to a single hazardous area. The device is available in a version that supports up to 5 keys.
The key exchange unit acts as a link between the deadbolt or rotary locks and the access control locks leading to the danger zone.

APPLICATION

The system includes an RTK rotary lock for controlling the machine's control circuit, an NX key exchange control panel, and 3 NX access control locks for entering the danger zone.
In normal machine operation (when the motor is powered), the operating key A is in the RTK lock, and the door leading to the danger zone remains closed and locked.
To access the danger zone:
1. the operator removes the Operational Key A from the RTK rotary lock, which cuts off power to the machine.
2. key A is then placed in the NX key exchange, which releases access keys B, C and D.
3. access keys B, C and D can be placed in the MS access control locks in the next step, which releases personal keys B', C', D' and the latches, allowing access to the hazardous area. Personal keys B', C', D' remain with the operator while in the zone to prevent accidental closing of the door and restarting of the machine.
4 To restart the machine, the operator follows the above steps in reverse order.
