ERTK - electromechanical key switch

ERTK is an electromechanical rotary lock. The release (SP) or locking (RP) of the key is electrically controlled. Any change in the state of the key is signaled by a contact connected to the lock.

ERTK is particularly used in industrial automation systems and railroad equipment.

APPLICATION

The system includes an ERTK electromechanical rotary lock for controlling the machine's control circuit and an NX access control lock for entering the hazardous area. During normal operation of the machine (engine on), the operating key A is in the ERTK lock, and the door to the danger zone is closed and locked.

To gain access to the danger zone:

A signal is sent to the ERTK lock to allow removal of the key (e.g. from the PLC).
1. the operator removes operation key A from the RTK lock, which disconnects power to the machine.
2.Operational key A is locked in the NX access control lock, which releases personal key B and the latching mechanism, allowing access to the zone.
3. Key B is kept by the operator during operation to prevent accidental restart.
4. To restart the machine, the operator performs all steps in reverse order.
