Vester Elektronik GmbH company that specializes in test automation and sensor technology was acquired by the Kistler Group in 2017. Vester enriched Kistler with their expertise and extensive assortment of optoelectronic sensors for controlling and process monitoring in the areas of forming, testing and sorting units for metal and hybrid part quality inspection. Some of the Vester’s automation solutions include products such as slotted light barriers (infrared light) - PM types, PBI-40-40 to PBI-60-75 or PRI-70-76 to PRI-150-150 types, as well as the light barrier transmitters - receiver (red light) - type PGI-L or DHS - 80.

Kistler Instrumente AG was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Germany. Today they’re a global manufacturer and supplier of dynamic measurement technology and own several sales and production divisions all around the world. 

Kistler specializes in dynamic pressure, force and acceleration measurement technology for many different applications, such as space travel, competitive sports and vehicle safety. They provide solutions for safe roads - automatic cameras and rail technology, medical technology - insulin pens, crash testing equipment, training and physiotherapy technology, inspection systems, and spacecraft sensors.

Their extensive assortment offers, among others, force sensor, accelerometers, pressure sensors, products for the KiDAQ data acquisition system, optosensors and inductive proximity switches, systems for test data management and data analysis, MES solutions, process monitoring with ComoNeo, weigh in motion with KiTraffic, combustion analysis with KiBox, wheel force measurement with KiRoad Performance. 

Several of the Kistler’s divisions have different certificates, including JIS Q 9001:2015 (Japan), ISO 14001 for the Environmental Management System (Germany), ISO 9001 for Kistler Group offices, ISO 17025 (America), and ATEX (Switzerland) approval for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
