The ExCam SUFA1080 is a thermal sensor for use in hazardous areas, offering all the benefits of thermal detection. The ExCam SUFA1080 is part of the Ex-Network modular network camera system. It should be used in conjunction with a separately sold main unit. The ExCam series is certified to European (ATEX) and international (IECEx) regulations. Explosion-proof thermal sensor with ATEX, IECEx, and EAC-Ex certifications
In addition to European regulations (ATEX), the ExCam series is also certified according to international regulations (IECEx). The enclosure certification covers ATEX Group II (Gas and Dust) for Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22, including Explosion Groups IIC/IIIC with a high risk of mechanical hazards.
During the development phase of the ExCam SUFA1080, a clear emphasis was placed on safety aspects, mechanical precision, and high-quality stainless steel. Furthermore, the modular design of the enclosure components prior to camera development allows for the free combination of individual enclosure components, such as various flanges, in conjunction with the enclosure body – without any restrictions on explosion protection.

The camera immediately detects temperature increases. Even moving and hard-to-reach objects pose no problem for the ExCam SUFA1080. It can detect people and vehicles without invading privacy. It reduces false alarms. The permissible ambient temperature range for the ExCam SUFA1080 camera starts at -30°C and increases to +60°C.
Ultra-compact housing - thermal resolution
With dimensions of just 127 mm in length and a diameter of just 48 mm, the ExCam SUFA1080 optical module is so small that it can be mounted anywhere. Thanks to the microbolometer, the ExCam SUFA1080 camera can provide thermal images of moving objects.

A specially designed flat GYLON (PTFE) seal not only ensures the housing is waterproof (IP68) but also supports resistance to many chemicals.
