Power Supplies - Introduction

The power supply portfolio includes products from POWER-ONE, COSEL, and CHINFA, complementing each other in terms of features and parameters. Power supplies are offered in two groups based on environmental operating conditions. The first group includes industrial products, where a wide operating temperature range, mechanical durability, and electromagnetic compatibility are important. These power supplies are used as equipment for industrial lines, in the control and monitoring of technological processes, in broadcasting, telecommunications, and data transmission systems, etc. They are characterized by an input voltage range of 2:1 to 5:1, I/O isolation up to 5.3kV, and an operating temperature range of -25°C to 71°C.

The second group includes components for very harsh operating conditions: high resistance to shock, vibration, and extreme operating temperatures. These power supplies are used in military applications, traction, transportation equipment, and anywhere requiring high power system reliability. They feature an input voltage range of 2:1 to 10:1, I/O isolation up to 8kV, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Output voltages range from ±3.3V to ±48VDC in single or multi-output configurations. The output voltage is adjustable via a potentiometer and is programmable. The power supplies feature overvoltage, overload, short circuit, and overtemperature protection and can operate in redundant power systems. They can be blocked by a logic signal.

This group of high-power AC-DC power supplies is designed to power electrical systems with standard voltages of 5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V. The output power of these power supplies ranges from 400W to 1000W and features a wide input voltage range from 88V to 264V. The modular design allows for custom configuration of the power supply with up to 12 isolated outputs and a wide output voltage range. A significant advantage is the ability to adjust the output voltage of each module separately. The power supply configuration is limited by the maximum combined power of all modules, which is 1000W.

Power supplies designed for IT applications have standard 1U, 3U, 5U, and shelve housings, supply voltages ranging from 85 to 264V, output voltages of 12V, 24V, and 48V, and output powers ranging from 300W to 1800W.

Power supplies are also available as 3U and 6U rackmountable power supplies. Supply voltages can vary from 85V to 264V, with output voltages of +3.3V, +5V, +12V, and -12V. These power supplies have a power output range of 200-500W.

We also offer power supplies in DIN rail housings. Their primary use is powering automation and control devices in industrial control cabinets. They operate at 85-264V, with typical output voltages of 5V, 12V, and 24V, and power ratings from 5W to 480W. For applications in harsh operating conditions, such as traction or military equipment, hermetically sealed power supplies in 3U Eurocassette housings are available. Their output power ranges from 50W to 550W, and they feature natural cooling, isolated inputs and outputs, 1 to 3 outputs, and are resistant to vibration and shock. Output voltages range from 5V to 48V. Unenclosed power supplies can be used, among other things, as ready-made components for device construction. Power ratings for these power supplies range from 30W to 55W, and output voltages are 5V, 12V, and 24V.

The final group consists of power supplies designed for through-hole mounting on printed circuit boards. Their power ratings range from 2.5W to 30W. They can operate with voltages ranging from 85V to 265V. They are available with the following output voltages: +3.3V; +5V; +12V; +15V; +24V; and ±5V; ±12V; and ±15V. Depending on the power supply type, the input-output isolation test voltage is 1.5kV, 3kV, 5.3kV, and 8kV.

DC-DC power supplies are supplied with voltages of 9÷36V; 18÷36V; 36÷76V, 45÷160V; 88÷370V; and 200÷400V. They have typical output voltages of +5V; +12V; +15V and ±5V; ±12V; ±15V and power ratings from 2.5W to 48W. In the "print-to-print" version, they have output voltages of +3.3V; +5V; +12V; +15V; +24V and power from 6.6W to 15W.

SMD DC-DC power supplies are manufactured in two input voltage ranges: 3-5.5V and 9.6-14V. Output currents of these power supplies are 5A, 10A, 16A, and 25A with a programmable output voltage ranging from 0.75 to 3.63V. These converters are characterized by minimal dimensions, high power density, and remote control via the I2C bus. This type of power supply is available upon request.
