Laird Technologies Company was acquired in 2018 by a private equity company Advent International and was divided into three independent companies: Laird Connectivity, Laird Performance Materials and Laird Thermal Systems. 

Advent International was established in 1984 and today is one of the largest global private equity firms.

Laird company provides mainly systems, components and solutions that protect electronics from electromagnetic interference and heat.

Laird Connectivity offers solutions such as wireless modules - WiFi + Bluetooth, Bluetooth modules, LoRaWAN solutions, cellular solutions, RAMP ISM modules; IoT devices - IoT gateways, sensors; RF antennas - WiFi and Bluetooth antennas, internal antennas, GNSS and GPS, RFID antennas, IoT and M2M, and public safety antennas. All products can be used in many applications, including consumer IoT, industrial, medical, public safety, cellular, transportation, and cold chain monitoring.

Laird Performance Materials has an extensive assortment of products such as absorbers, microwave absorbing thermoplastic, foams and gap fillers, military specialty microwave and custom magnetic absorbers, emi tapes, conductive fabrics, and thermally conductive pcb. They operate on markets like 5G solutions, automotive component sectors and military solutions.

Laird Thermal Systems provides solutions for thermoelectric coolers and assemblies, liquid cooling systems, and temperature controllers. They operate in fields like medical industry, analytical, industrial, telecom, transportation, consumer, and optoelectronics.
