Storage and Durability

The shelf life is 24 months at the optimal storage temperature ranging from 5°C to 23°C in a tightly closed, original container. Storage at a higher temperature leads to a significantly shorter shelf life. The storage temperature must not drop below 5°C.

3.3 Application Information

Low-strength thread locking agents are not suitable for: Metal-plastic, flange connections, areas where open oxygen is used, and sealing against media with strongly oxidizing acids. The product can only be applied on standard metal threads. The secured surface must be free of grease and completely clean. Then, use the thread locking agent to completely fill the gap between the two parts, assemble the parts, and seal them completely. Insufficient sealing may lead to leakage over time. Do not move parts after the hardening process has begun. Leave the adhesive to fully cure for 24 hours before use. In mass production, it is advisable to lock or secure the bonding using a pipe wrench to avoid disrupting the layer during the hardening process. Please refer to the safety data sheet before using the product.

4. B243 Eco - Medium-Strength Thread Locking Agent

4.1 Overview

The product cures (polymerizes) without access to air and oxygen (anaerobic) and catalytic action of metal (contact with metal). B243 Eco, of medium strength, seals and locks various types of screws and connections.

Properties

  • DVGW certification (DIN EN 751-1 class H)
  • Rapid curing on a wide range of ferrous metals
  • High vibration resistance
  • Screws secured, moderately difficult to disassemble using tools
  • Increased compatibility with oils

Compared to conventional anaerobic adhesives, Bäder® Greenmark® products are completely label-free. In addition, they offer an extended shelf life of 24 months instead of 12 months to the user, improved storage stability, and increased temperature resistance in use up to +180°C.
