Hirschmann is a manufacturer of connectors for automation, sensor cabling, and industrial communication systems.

Hirschmann is part of the Belden company – it was founded in 1902 in Chicago. The company is a market leader in the design and production of automation connectors, sensor cabling, and industrial communication systems. In 2004, Belden merged with Cable Design Technologies Corp. and today specializes in signal transmission solutions, cabling, connectivity, and networking products. They supply products to the entertainment, residential, and safety & security industries.

Hirschmann owns several world-renowned brands: GarrettCom – Ethernet LAN products, Hirschmann – industrial networks, Lumberg Automation – intelligent cabling solutions, Tofino Security – industrial network protection products, Grass Valley.

Hirschmann offers a very wide range of sensor connection components: M8, M12 connectors, cable extensions, signal hubs, DIN (valve) plugs, as well as industrial communication systems: Interbus, Profibus-DP, Devicenet. They also offer rectangular connectors, circular connectors with cable gland, and panel-mounted connectors.
