Emergency stop buttons comply with IEC 60 204, IEC 60 073, IEC 60 947, and VDE 0113. They are protected against unauthorized operation by a positive-guidance mechanism in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13850. To prevent accidental operation, a pressure point is overcome, and the button latches in the pressed position. Due to the shape of the actuator, the emergency stop button is protected against jamming. This means that an initiated emergency stop procedure cannot be interrupted by jammed objects. The compact LUMOTAST 22 emergency stop button with quick-connect terminals is ideal where an emergency stop or emergency shutdown is required and space is limited in front of or behind the front panel.
