Products that are marked "On Order" in the "Available Quantity" column are usually not in stock. Such products are available for purchase, however, due to their limited customer base, they usually have higher minimum quantities. DACPOL offers products that are not in stock for the following reasons: DACPOL currently has a large number of electronic components in stock and adds new products every day, however, tens of thousands of additional components and their various variants are available from our suppliers. Even though it is unreasonable to have all these products in stock due to the limited sales, we believe that it is in the best interest of our customers to make them available. Our goal is to inform customers about the maximum number of products available and enable them to make decisions based on specifications, prices, availability, required minimums and our technical advice. Please note that selecting the "In Stock" checkbox may limit the display to only products available for delivery straight from the shelf.

Rogowski Industrial Coils RCT Series (PEM UK)

Overview and General Applications

The RCT series are industrial current sensors based on Rogowski coil technology, designed for permanent or semi-permanent installation in AC systems. They serve as an alternative to traditional current transformers (CT), offering light weight, flexibility, and a wide measurement range. The RCT measurement range extends from several hundred amperes up to 50 kA, depending on the model.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Measurement stability and accuracy – typical accuracy better than 1% across the full rated range, with low phase shift (often below 1° at 50/60 Hz)
  • Variety of outputs – available in industrial standards: 0–5 V AC, 0–1 A AC, 4–20 mA DC
  • Modular design – electronics module can be DIN rail or panel mounted, with the Rogowski coil as a separate sensing element.
  • Wide frequency spectrum – depending on model, bandwidth up to several hundred kHz (e.g., for RCTi version)
  • Safe and lightweight construction – no magnetic core eliminates saturation risk; flexible and lightweight design allows installation in tight or hard-to-reach spaces.
  • No saturation risk and high insulation strength – a typical advantage of Rogowski coils, especially under high current or transient conditions.

Versions and Variants

  • RCTi: single-channel sensor with wide bandwidth (e.g., 1 MHz) – for dynamic measurements.
  • RCTi-3ph: three-phase version with three coils in one housing.
  • RCTrms: RMS output version – ideal for power network measurements.
  • RCTrms-3ph: three-phase RMS version.
  • RCT1A: version with 0–1 A AC output, typically with lower bandwidth (up to 5 kHz).

Practical Applications of Rogowski Coils

  • Monitoring in power installations – phase current measurement, load balancing, network diagnostics.
  • Industrial automation systems – current measurement in busbars, power and supply circuits, overload monitoring.
  • Integration with SCADA or PLC systems via standard output signals.
  • Applications where traditional current transformers cannot fit or lack sufficient range or linearity.
