What is a Rogowski coil?

A Rogowski coil, also called a Rogowski transducer, Rogowski loop, Rogowski transformer, magnetic potentiometer, is a type of coreless transformer used to measure alternating current waveforms without the need to cut or connect to the tested conductor. In such a system, the coil acts as the secondary winding of the coreless transformer, while the primary winding is the conductor under test.

This method allows maintaining an accuracy class 1, in accordance with EN 61869. Additionally, it is modern and unrivaled compared to other measuring tools.

The diameters of the Rogowski coil loops are 70, 125, and 175 mm, providing many mounting options. Additionally, these devices are adapted to operate at temperatures from -40 to +80°C, making them safe and easy to use. Furthermore, these coils are easy to install, as they are equipped with mounting brackets for clamping straps and a bayonet lock with seals.
