PG low voltage limiters are specialized surge protection devices designed to protect structural elements in traction networks powered by direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). Their main purpose is to protect people from dangerous touch voltage that may occur as a result of a lightning strike or a catenary failure.

Application

PG arresters are designed for:

  • Protecting structural elements in catenaries powered by direct and alternating current,

  • Protecting people from dangerous touch voltage in the event of a catenary failure,

  • Indoor and outdoor installations, including in the pantograph area (current collector) and on supporting mast structures.
