DetasUltra

DetasUltra is an innovative division of the Italian company Detas SpA, founded in 2019 as part of Detas Automazione and operating under the slogan "Solutions around the cable". It specializes in the production and distribution of cable management components, primarily intended for industrial automation, both at the edges of machines and in control cabinets as well as electrical and electronic equipment.

A key element in the DetasUltra portfolio is the Detas Entry System (DES) – a comprehensive line of components enabling easy and flexible installation of both simple cables and those terminated with connectors. Fully designed and patented in Italy, the DES system was created to simplify cable routing in control cabinets and electrical equipment, while providing high reference parameters such as water resistance and mechanical strain relief, and reducing the number of models to lower costs.

DetasUltra’s research and development process focuses on four main aspects:

• Improving product performance, including water resistance and tear resistance

• Minimizing the number of models to reduce stock

• Reducing production costs

• Durability and longevity even in extreme conditions

• Ease and speed of installation

DetasUltra’s product offering includes:

• Cable entry systems for simple and connectorized cables

• Cable entry plates for simple cables

• Mounting modules providing mechanical strain relief for cables

• Clamps and braided shields for grounding

The DES system features divisible frames and openable or pierceable inserts from the SPP/SPG series, creating an innovative wall feedthrough system. The lack of internal partitions allows free cable routing configurations with diameters from 2 to 35 mm. DES frames are made of chemically bonded glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, providing high rigidity, mechanical strength at elevated temperatures, and resistance to detergents and chemicals – particularly in food applications, ensuring no contamination.

The DES system offers IP66 protection and mechanical strain relief according to EN62444, meets the UL94V0 self-extinguishing class, and operates in temperatures from -40°C to +155°C. Mounting screws are made of SS304 stainless steel, and additional solutions such as quick connectors or rear gaskets pressed into the frames increase flexibility and speed of installation.
