Heat exchangers - application
Heat exchangers can be used in many applications, industrial - heating and cooling - and domestic.
Their application mainly allows increasing effectiveness of the devices that are a part of the heating system. High temperature lowers the electric and electronic aperture’s durability - can cause failures, damage electro-energetic systems and semiconductors. In houses exchangers can also help with saving on heating and cooling costs.
Air-air exchangers are mainly used when the external temperature is lower than the cabinet’s internal temperature.
Water-air heat exchangers are especially helpful for cooling of the cabinets that work in extreme external conditions and when there is access to the external sources of cold water e.g. water coolers, for example in casting workshops, chemical industry or machining industry.
What’s a heat exchanger?
It is a device that allows a heat exchange between e.g. liquids that have different temperatures - through the convection and induction.
In industrial installations and construction industry most commonly used are plate heat exchangers or shell-and-tube heat exchangers - heat exchange goes through at least two plates.
Heat exchangers are a part of central heating and hot tap water installations. They are also often used in solar or geothermal heating. Can work in a continuous or non-continuous system. First of them allows a specified heat exchange, while the second one an unspecified exchange and provides heat exchange in the one-time or periodic way.
