For use as a minimum or maximum temperature thermostat for controlling air supply vents or fans in air conditioning and ventilation systems. Can also be used as overheating protection thermostats for electric heating coils and gas or oil heaters. ** Intrinsically safe / protection against cold: the devices are fail-safe, meaning the burner is switched off if the medium filling the sensor leaks, for example, if the sensor is damaged. Because negative temperatures reduce the volume of the filling medium, which has a similar effect to a sensor failure, the devices are regulated using a so-called "cold screw" so that the burner is switched off at temperatures below -15˚C. They can be switched on again above a temperature of approximately -5˚C by pressing the reset button.
Overheating Protection:The device provides protection against uncontrolled overheating, which can be caused, for example, by accumulation or gradual loss of the medium filling the capillary tube due to invisible damage to the tube, etc. The sensor fuse blows when the temperature reaches 220˚C, as a result of which the device deactivates due to loss of the medium filling the capillary tube. After this event, the burner can no longer be activated and the device is unusable. It can only serve as a signal that the temperature has reached 220˚C.
