Seria CWT ULTRA MINI-HF-F

The CWT ultra mini-HF-F series is an extension of PEM's original CWT Ultra-mini series. The new "fork" type design allows the total size of the Rogowski coil to be reduced to 55 mm, thereby limiting the probe's influence on the circuit under test. This facilitates measurements in densely packed power electronics systems. The HF version further extends the frequency band to 30 MHz and provides a thicker and additionally protected 1.7 mm coil.

Key Features

"Fork-type" Coil
Innovative "fork-type" design with a 55 mm coil length.
Rated Currents
Rated currents from 60 A to 12 kA
(peak values).

Maximum di/dt
Ability to operate at a maximum di/dt up to 100 kA/μs.

Thin Coils and High Isolation
Thin coils with a cross-sectional diameter of 1.7 mm for 1.2 kV isolation (peak value).
Selectable Lead Length
Longer leads than the standard 1 m are available – on request.
Custom Coil Length
Coils longer than the standard 55 mm are available on request.

Applications

  • Switching waveforms of semiconductor devices.
  • Switching current waveforms in power electronics circuits, e.g.:
  • MOSFET or IGBT even in packages as small as TO-247. Measurement of power losses in semiconductors.
  • Monitoring currents in small inductors, capacitors, snubber circuits, etc.
  • Measurement of small AC currents in the presence of large DC currents (e.g., capacitor ripple monitoring).
  • Measurement of high-frequency sinusoidal, pulsed, or transient currents
in applications from mains frequency to the radio frequency (RF) range.

Complies with Standards

  • CE
  • EMC EN 61326-1 2006
  • IEC 61010-1
  • IEC 61010-2-032

Technical Parameters

Output ±6V for max peak current for R>100kΩ (recommended oscilloscope input R=1MΩ)
Accuracy

Calibrated to ±0.2% of reading when the conductor is centered in the Rogowski coil loop.
Conductor position in the coil (for a 5 mm diameter conductor) – typically ±2% of reading.

Linearity up to current amplitude ±0.05% of reading
DC Offset Maximum ±3mV for T=25°C
Temperature Coil and cable: -40…125°C, integrator: 0…40°C
Coil Voltage 1.2 kV (peak value) – 1.7 mm thick coil.
Coil Circuit 55 mm – larger sizes possible on request
Power Supply
