CWT Mini50HF Series

The CWT mini HF series is designed for measuring alternating currents across a wide measurement range and high frequency bandwidth. The HF variant offers an extended measurement range for high frequencies. The MINI version features a small coil cross-section and small diameter, making it ideal for current measurement in hard-to-reach areas of an electrical circuit. The voltage output, provided via a BNC connector, allows for direct connection to an oscilloscope or other recording device.

Key features

Operation with fast-rising signals
Ability to work with fast signal changes: rise time: 12.5 ns.
Rated currents
Rated currents from 30 A to 30 kA (peak values).

Wide frequency bandwidth
Models cover a range up to 50 MHz.

Thin coils and high insulation
Thin coils with a cross-section diameter of 3.5 mm for 2 kV insulation and 4.5 mm for 5 kV coil insulation (peak value).
Optional cable length
Longer cables than the standard 1 m are available – upon request.
Custom coil length
Coils longer than the standard 100 mm and 200 mm are available upon request.

Applications

  • Switching waveforms of semiconductor elements.
  • Switching current waveforms in power electronics circuits, e.g.:
  • MOSFET or IGBT even in packages as small as TO-247. Measurement of power losses in semiconductors.
  • Monitoring currents in small inductors, capacitors, damping circuits, etc.
  • Measurement of small AC currents in the presence of large DC currents (e.g., capacitor ripple monitoring).
  • Measurement of high-frequency sinusoidal, pulsed, or transient currents in applications from mains frequency to radio frequency (RF) range.

Complies with standards

  • CE
  • EMC EN 61326-1 2006
  • IEC 61010-1
  • IEC 61010-2-032
